Automated tank cleaning
Founded by the same team behind AlphaMERS, BetaTANK Robotics builds automated systems for cleaning hazardous petroleum storage tanks — eliminating need for people to work in dangerous, confined space work.
The robot is hydraulically powered and Zone 0 compliant, so it runs safely in explosive atmospheres. A positive-displacement pump removes thick petroleum sludge at 5–10 bar, and at 370 mm tall the robot fits under tank heating coils. Operators control it from outside the tank using a live feed from an explosion-proof camera.
